Welcome to Markus Rohrers Aviation Homepage! Leonardo da Vinci said what many of us feel: "To most people the sky is the limit. To those who love aviation, the sky is home." Aviation is a fascinating field, and I hope to cater you interest with this site. You'll find - besides some personal notes about me - stories "from the line" and about pilot training, and information about the aircraft I fly, along with pictures by me and my friends who are as well fascinated about everything that goes up in the air and stays there despite the law of gravity. Other things to be found on these pages are items about travelling and holidays, as well as weather, a topic which is seamlessly linked with aviation and fascinates me as well. Isn't it impressive how quick a thunderstorm builds in summer, growing from literally nothing into a big weather machine, spitting hail, rain and lightning with often devastating force, only to disappear into nothing again after some mhours of lifetime. Or isn't the quickly changing weather of the european springtime weird and stunning at the same time, changing from bright warming sun to severe snowfall or even rainstorms within minutes?
