Gallery - Travelling/Holiday
Being a pilot without having the desire to visit foreign countries and people is nearly impossible. So I share the hobby of many colleagues, and love to visit foreign countries. So far this has been "moneywise" restricted to Europe (Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, UK, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Czech Republic) and North America (USA: California, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, N.Y., Florida; Canada: Quebec). One of the stranger travel destinations has been the Bahamas. Feel free to check the picture galleries below, which are fitted with some additional explanations and text.
Fly out to the Bahamas (27.-29.09.2002)
Following our Multiengine/IFR part of the ATPL course, which has been delegated by Swissair Aviation School to Flight Safety Vero Beach, three of us rented a small one engine airplane and flew off to the Bahamas. We were joined by the girlfriend of one us. If anyone looks for the real flight feel - there it is. You definitely have to check out the Bahamas by plane! It's quite a piece of preparation, to fly "out" with a single engine aircraft, but it's definitely worth every minute of work. Here you'll get some impressions of how it was. Enjoy!
Austria by air (22.-25.09.2003)
The widely known, but hitherto not curable "urge to fly" disease has attacked me again in summer 2003, and I *had* (no question) to fly again, after a summer full of short sightseeing flights over the Swiss Alps with pals and relatives. With no prospect of getting a "real" job soon (talkin' about a right hand seat in an airliner), I was up and away with a pal of mine, who was infected with the same disease. Soon, the travel plans were set up, the plane prepared, all friends we planned to visit were noticed, and off we went. What we did during four unforgettable days, you may see in the following pictures.
