Why a diary? Aviation is full of fantastic stories. There are the well-known, big stories: how the Wright brothers excelled in the air with the first motor-propelled aircraft, how Lindbergh crossed the Atlantic in a tiny plane without direct forward view, about the German/American aviatrix Amelia Earhardt who flew about everywhere in the world before disappearing mysteriously. But there are also the stories about the daily life around the planes, the people, the weather. How wonderful is it to listen to an old aviator, telling some highlights of his life full of stunning adventures and moments. I'm not yet old (at least I don't yet feel so), but sometimes even my daily life "on the line" or in training hides funny little stories which I'd like to share with you. I hope you like them, and am happy to receive your feedback.
